Software QA Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Execute, maintain, and collaborate on test cases, including adding and editing cases.
• Investigate, report, and track software and hardware bugs and verify bug fixes.
• Review bug reports, logs, architecture, requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to improve testability and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to identify test coverage.
• Provide weekly reports on task progress and logged bugs.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in a QA or testing position.
• Experience writing test cases and test plans and implementing test strategy.
• Experience reviewing logs to determine the root cause of bugs.
• Competency with command-line tools and commonly used bug-tracking software such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Mantis.
• Experience with Android debugging tools.
• Experience with automated and manual testing methodologies.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle and quality assurance.
• Clear, accurate, and succinct written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
