MaineGeneral Health is offering an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on 2 West. 2 West is a 36 bed med/surg unit, with a small niche population of Oncology patients. Nurses on this unit love the team oriented "family" environment and the career growth opportunities in the Oncology specialty. This position has a Per Diem schedule.

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or ability to obtain in a timely fashion, required. At least 1 year of RN experience preferred.

$35.00 - $61.25. The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
