City of Hope's growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and cancer treatment centers and outpatient facilities in the Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix areas.The Nurse Educator collaborates with department leaders to ensure staff receive comprehensive initial orientation and ongoing education that supports excellence in care delivery and compliance with job requirements. This role assists in developing and maintaining accurate educational materials for patients and families, promoting understanding and engagement in their care. Additionally, the Nurse Educator coordinates student, resident, and shadowing experiences to provide meaningful, well-structured learning opportunities that align with organizational standards and professional development goals.The successful candidate:Must be able to work ONSITE Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00pDevelops and delivers educational programs to support ongoing clinical staff growth in oncologyDesigns, coordinates, and evaluates training to maintain and enhance employee competencies and performanceLeads new employee clinical and nursing orientation, including needs assessments and competency validation plansPlans and facilitates education on new processes, products, and equipment for clinical staffEvaluates effectiveness of educational initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and professional developmentOversees and continuously improves key programs, including Nurse Residency, Fellowship, Preceptor, and Student/Intern programsEnsures compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelinesMaintains strict confidentiality and demonstrates high integrity in all responsibilitiesPerforms additional duties as needed to support departmental and organizational goalsQualificationsYour qualifications should include:Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's (MSN) preferredExperience: Minimum 5 years of patient care experience; oncology experience preferredLicensure: Active and valid Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license requiredCertifications:BLS and ACLS requiredChemotherapy/Immunotherapy and Hematologic Stem Cell certifications required within 3 months of hireNational nursing certification (e.g., OCN, CCRN, RN-BC) preferredPreferred Background: Experience in oncology, stem cell, acute care, or critical careCity of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
