Pharmacist PRN

Overview We are seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our team at Vibra Hospital ofSoutheasternMassachusetts, located in New Bedford, MA. This 90‑bed Critical Care Hospital provides acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries and offers an opportunity to work in a fast‑paced environment where you truly get to know your patients and their families. Hospital Details Vibra Hospital provides critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. Our smaller, specialized team delivers friendly and high‑quality care in a supportive work environment. Responsibilities Responsible for the filling and dispensing of medication orders, including the proper handling, use, and storage of drugs in the Pharmacy. Maintain standards set by the department and translate policies into daily operations. Act as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug‑related information. Coordinate with medical staff and nursing to deliver quality, cost‑effective drug therapies. Participate in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program focusing on patient safety and public health. Provide pharmaceutical care to patients of all age groups and lead in the absence of the Director as assigned. Required Skills Bachelor of Science Degree from a College/School of Pharmacy required. Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment required. Additional Qualifications/Skills Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred. Experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation preferred. TPN experience preferred. Current, valid and active BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra‑approved vendor preferred. Previous acute care experience preferred. Automated pharmacy dispensing and IV laminar flow hood experience. Electronic medical records experience preferred. Ability to project a professional image. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
