A Senior Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles or mechanical equipment. They provide technical leadership to junior mechanics, ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards, and help maintain efficient workshop operations.

• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on vehicles or equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Lead and mentor junior mechanics and apprentices.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Order and manage spare parts, tools, and workshop supplies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Communicate repair findings and maintenance recommendations to supervisors or customers.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive or mechanical engineering preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience as a mechanic or technician.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
• Valid driver's license (if applicable).
• ASE certification or equivalent is an advantage (for automotive positions).
