Job Details Location: Eastern NY – Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Position Type: Full‑Time. Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year. Shift: Any. Job Summary The Telecommunications Installation Technician I is part of a team that installs and supports information systems for dairy farms across the country. This career‑track technical position offers growth opportunities. Responsibilities include installing and supporting networks, surveillance cameras, computers, and related hardware. The role requires a strong technical aptitude and a desire to work in a farm setting with a team approach. It is physically demanding and requires work in a variety of environmental conditions (heat and cold) and significant travel (minimum 60% of time) throughout the United States. Working Conditions On‑site work is primarily outdoors with regular exposure to a variety of weather conditions. Work is performed on farms in close proximity to cows and may involve use of ladders and aerial lifts up to 100 feet. The position requires driving a vehicle and occasional air travel. Mental and Visual Demands Ability to use a computer and telephone several hours a day in an office environment. Physical Activities and Requirements Ability to sit, stand, kneel, climb ladders, and lift up to 80 pounds as needed. Qualifications Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in Animal Science, General Agriculture, Information Systems, or a related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience (e.g., repairing Windows‑based computers, deploying point‑to‑multipoint wireless networks, or providing IT‑based managed services). Additional relevant experience can substitute for education. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications General knowledge of electricity and wiring.
