Joshua Tree Counseling is a private-pay Christian counseling collective in Northwest Tucson. We welcome independently licensed and associate-licensed therapists who want to build a focused, sustainable practice within an established professional setting. You may be moving from solo practice, bringing a developed specialty from another clinical setting, or just beginning the transition into private-pay counseling. We value the experience, perspective, and clinical identity you bring. What Joshua Tree provides Furnished counseling offices at our Oracle and La Cholla locations, with arrangements based on availability and your intended practice size. Administrative support from practice manager Kelly Formo, including help with new-client onboarding, scheduling, billing, and practical questions. An electronic health record, client portal, scheduling tools, billing support, and payment processing. A detailed clinician profile on our shared website, practice marketing, and referral opportunities that help appropriate clients discover your work. Connection with Christian counselors who bring different specialties and approaches, including group communication and optional community gatherings. Kelly’s warmth, practical experience, and follow-through are central to the support here. If you have managed the details of a solo practice, you may especially appreciate having an experienced practice manager alongside you. Who thrives here We are looking for clinicians who: Hold an active Arizona independent or associate clinical license. Have a defined clinical specialty or are intentionally developing a focused area of practice. Bring self-awareness, sound clinical judgment, and confidence paired with openness to consultation and continued learning. Take initiative, work toward solutions, communicate directly and respectfully, and follow through on professional responsibilities. Understand the practical economics of private practice and have a realistic plan for caseload growth and variable income. Are motivated to build a sustainable practice and willing to adapt as it develops. Value Joshua Tree’s Christian foundation and want to participate in a connected professional community. Your clinical role Provide counseling within your training, competence, and scope of practice. Manage your client relationships, documentation, communication, and continuity of care. Maintain licensure, professional liability insurance, and required supervision. Take an active role in communicating your specialty and developing appropriate referral relationships. While our clinicians are all Christians, we welcome clients from every background. Prayer, Scripture, and other expressions of Christian faith are incorporated only when requested by the client. Practice arrangement and compensation This is an independent contractor opportunity . Clinicians manage their clinical work and schedules within agreed office arrangements. Part-time and full-time practice arrangements are discussed based on your goals and available space. Compensation is an agreed percentage of collected session revenue. Your contractor agreement explains the split, session-fee arrangement, payment-processing deductions, and payment procedures. Caseload size and income are not guaranteed. Associate-licensed clinicians arrange and pay for their own clinical supervision with a Joshua Tree clinical supervisor.
