Job Title: Travel RN - Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital Postpartum/Mom Baby experience License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS and NRP Must-Have: - Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Postpartum/Mom Baby experience - BLS and NRP certification Description: This is a travel RN position in a Postpartum unit. The unit has 23 beds and approximately 80 staff members. Staffing includes a charge nurse and up to 10 RNs on the floor during the night shift. Patient ratios are estimated to be 3 or 4 patients per RN. The main computer system used is Meditech/CPN. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility with their schedules and the ability to adapt quickly. Typical procedures performed include monitoring vital signs and administering medications. Education of parents regarding newborn care, safety, and bonding is fundamental. The ideal candidate should be compassionate, patient, and a team player. Communication with staff and providers is a priority.
