Clinical Supervisor (BCBA)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes the assessment and analysis of the patient’s skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing the implementation, collaboration with caregivers, and ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans are designed to address areas of medical necessity and may occur in a variety of settings: CARD center, patient home, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full‑time position. Benefits Earn up to $30,000 in annual bonuses (up to $2,500/month) Free CEUs, high‑quality paid training and ongoing mentorship Flexible scheduling, PTO, and hybrid/remote work options Comprehensive telemedicine, mental health and wellness support 401(k) with company match and free financial wellness seminars Pet insurance, corporate discounts, subscriptions, and more University partnerships and tuition discounts Clear paths for advancement and growth opportunities Relocation assistance up to $10,000 (subject to eligibility and business needs) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Uses clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient Develops and maintains treatment plans Ensures that all supervision hours are 100% treatment adherence each month Evaluates patients to identify skill deficits and strengths Analyzes challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behavior Develops functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors Observes treatment implementation for potential program revisions Monitors treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols Directs behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised treatment protocols Provides ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians Primarily works physically within the center to support technicians and follows best practices of direct observation Summarizes and analyzes data to evaluate patient progress toward treatment goals and adjusts treatment protocols based upon data Updates treatment plans at least once per month based upon patient response to treatment Fulfills a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory hours and therapy hours Accurately communicates treatment response to stakeholders (i.e., caregivers, payers) Coordinates care with other professionals Administers, completes, and scores standardized assessments Includes caregiver as a part of the treatment team, evidenced by consistent caregiver collaboration meetings Interacts with payers collaboratively, professionally, thoroughly, and informatively Engages with payers as needed for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews) Stays up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence Maintains appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, families and colleagues Provides a safe and supportive environment for patients, families and colleagues Maintains compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times Partners consistently and effectively with other center leadership including Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator, Technician, and Behavior Technician Leads Completes other duties as assigned Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis or related field (required) Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (required) Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (required) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Empathetic and compassionate, maintaining strict confidentiality Collaborative team player with a positive, solution‑focused attitude Independent problem solver exercising clinical judgment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management, capable of working in a fast‑paced, changing environment Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook; able to use new computer systems and iPads Desire to continuously learn and develop skill sets Willingness to work in a variety of locations (center, patient home, etc.) Willingness to work with a variety of patients Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance Must pass tuberculosis test Proficiency in English (written and verbal) Work Environment Treatment may occur in a variety of settings including the patient’s home, the CARD center, the patient’s school, the community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors work in environments that are both indoors and outdoors and may move between different locations throughout the course of the workday. Treatment environments may be subject to loud or excessive noise at times. Physical Requirements Work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other home, school, community, and clinic environments Move frequently to gather materials, anticipate and respond to patient movement, and provide instruction in various settings Constantly position oneself to participate and respond to patient movements and behaviors (e.g., bending, kneeling, hurrying, reaching) Use continuous visual tracking to monitor patients and surrounding environment Avoid or block aggressive behaviors when necessary Occasionally bear weight of a patient leaning or pushing Teach patients vocal speech, articulating sound and modeling speaking clearly, listening and shaping vocal communication Tutor gross motor skills such as climbing or jumping and fine motor skills such as clapping or opening a container Work both indoor and outdoor settings in various weather conditions (e.g., community skills, recess in school) Lift up to 30 lb while assisting patients EEO Statement #CARD3 Qualified Applicants with arrest or Conviction records will be considered for Employment in accordance with the for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
