About the Position

Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns in a rural critical access hospital. The RN will manage labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and neonatal stabilization while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be independent, adaptable, and comfortable working in a rural setting with limited specialty resources.

• Floating: May float to Med-Surg/ED for helping hands or 1:1 patient observation

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• Current BLS , ACLS , and NRP certifications
• Experience with labor, postpartum, and newborn care
• Experience titrating medications such as Magnesium Sulfate and Oxytocin
• Experience with fetal monitoring systems preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg/ED for helping hands as needed
• Must reside outside the 50-mile radius requirement
• Ability to work independently in a rural critical access environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
