Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and settings
- Ensure weld quality, strength, and appearance meet specifications
- Measure, cut, and fit metal parts prior to welding
- Inspect finished welds and make repairs as needed
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report issues
- Maintenance: Clean and maintain equipment. Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Ability to weld thin-gauge sheet metal with precision
- Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel
- Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills
- Knowledge of welding symbols and measurements
- Attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to use hand tools, grinders, and measuring tools
- Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines
- Previous MIG/TIG welding experience in a sheet metal or fabrication setting
- Welding certification (preferred but not required)
- Understanding of welding safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift materials as needed
- Knowledge of safety practices in handling chemicals, working with high temperatures, and using electrostatic equipment.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle parts of varying weights and sizes.
- 18 years or older
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience
