You’ll assist dentists with a variety of treatments, ensure a welcoming environment for patients, and maintain our high standards for patient care and safety. Key Responsibilities Assist dentist or hygienist during treatments and escort patients to/from treatment rooms Take and develop dental x-rays Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following strict sanitation protocols Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatments Provide follow-up instructions and schedule future appointments Handle emergencies by following established protocols Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Participate in daily huddles, team meetings, and training workshops Manage inventory and supplies while limiting waste Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Minimum Qualifications Previous dental assistant experience required Proficiency with dental practice management software preferred (Dentrix Enterprise) Certified Dental Assistant and CPR Certification preferred Key Qualities We’re Looking For Strong patient-service orientation with empathy for patients in discomfort Excellent verbal communication and listening skills Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Ability to work independently and as part of a team Self-motivated with strong follow-through skills Other Details Regular attendance required with potential for varied hours Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to shifting schedules Travel between offices as needed Ready to grow your career with BDG Dental Services?
