Experienced Trim Carpenter / Finish Carpenter

Stimis Enterprises is a custom construction and millwork company specializing in high-quality architectural trim, custom millwork, cabinetry, stair work, and finish carpentry.

We are looking for an  experienced Trim Carpenter / Finish Carpenter with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience to join our team.

This position is focused on high-quality finish work in custom homes. We are looking for someone who can work independently, read plans, solve problems in the field, and consistently produce clean, accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Install high-end interior trim and architectural millwork
• Install doors, casing, baseboard, crown molding, paneling, and wainscoting
• Install custom built-ins and shop-fabricated millwork
• Install coffered ceilings, beams, shiplap, and other architectural details
• Perform precise measuring, layout, scribing, fitting, coping, and installation
• Install and trim custom cabinetry
• Read architectural drawings, elevations, and details
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Coordinate with other trades and project management

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional finish carpentry or trim carpentry experience
• Strong knowledge of residential trim installation
• Ability to accurately measure, lay out, cut, fit, and install finished work
• Experience working with both paint-grade and stained/clear-finished materials
• Ability to read construction plans and architectural drawings
• Proficient with standard carpentry and woodworking tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation
• Dependable and punctual
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for the quality of your work
• Professional appearance and attitude

Experience with the following is a plus:

• Custom cabinetry and built-ins
• Architectural millwork
• Staircases and stair trim
• Coffered ceilings
• Wall paneling and wainscoting
• Custom beams
• White oak and other hardwoods
• Shop fabrication
• High-end custom homes

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a  skilled finish carpenter, not a general laborer or entry-level carpenter .

The right candidate should be able to look at a set of plans, understand the finished product, figure out the best way to execute the work, and produce a professional result without being constantly supervised.
