Job Description Polaris solutions continually process massive accurate cell-phone geolocation data covering all subscribers across the entire country. Analytics are used to convert this massive data flow into various applications that benefit our end-customers. The Aigis product backend includes the data ingestion engines that process events, the database, and other systems that implement high compute processing.The ideal candidate will develop new Aigis capabilities, refactor existing components and support the software production process. Responsibilities In this role you will be a hands-on contributor to the development of the Aigis platform solutions including leading technical projects.Asa member of the Aigis Platform team in our Santa Clara office you will maintain and extend the Aigis Platform capabilities (Java, Python) and related code (servers, ClickHouse database, data analytics tools, QA automation).You will also contribute with designs and software approaches to improve the product or refactor when needed. Qualifications The individual must be detail oriented, analytical thinker, and self-driven, with a good intuition on the amount of information in data. The individual will need to be hands-on and be able to work with all levels in the company, including product management. Must have a BS.CS degree. Authorized to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship or OPT. Must have 4 years or more of relevant work experience. Java: hands on experience in Java of 3 years or more. Python: hands on experience in Python of 2 years or more is a plus. Linux: Linux experience, such as with RedHat or Ubuntu. Good knowledge of common use commands and remote access. REST: hands on experience working with REST-based API's and JSON data formats. good working knowledge servers (including thread safe aspects), and networking. Platforms: hands on or conceptual familiarity with one or more of the following technology/platforms is a plus: Sparks, ClickHouse, Kafka, Docker, Grafana. Strong coding skills. Includes hands on work with object-oriented programing, data structures, and algorithms. Good understanding of the performance and scaling aspects of software development. Good practices in creating quality software including good code organization, code testing practices, producing readable and maintainable code.
