Veterinary Technician – Shelton, CT Countryside Veterinary Clinic, Shelton, CT, US Veterinary Technician – Countryside Veterinary Hospital Shelton, CT Full-Time | 4-Day Work Week | No Weekends Compensation: Based on Experience & Credentialing Countryside Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a skilled Veterinary Technician to our growing team in Shelton, CT. Position Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and outpatient appointments Collect patient histories and communicate effectively with pet owners Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and IV/SQ injections Prepare patients for procedures and support treatment area workflow Assist with surgical preparation and patient recovery when needed Educate clients on at-home care and discharge instructions Maintain accurate records and support hospital efficiency throughout the day Ideal Candidate Qualifications Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred Proficient in venipuncture and medication administration Comfortable managing appointments/rooms independently Strong patient care and client communication skills Surgical prep/anesthesia knowledge is a plus LVT/CVT required for anesthesia and surgical monitoring duties Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting What We Offer Four 10-hour weekday shifts Supportive and collaborative hospital culture Opportunities for continued learning and skill development Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Paid parental leave Employee pet discounts and pet insurance options 24/7 mental health support resources Join a hospital where your skills are valued and your growth is encouraged.
