Job Description:

Seeking a dedicated RN for PACU with the ability to care for a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to geriatrics. Typical cases include orthopedics, general surgery, vascular, ENT, urology, and breast reconstructions, with critical care transfer responsibilities. The primary shift is Monday-Friday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with flexibility for additional shifts based on needs. Immediate start preferred.


Qualifications:

• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• PALS or ENPC certification from AHA required
• RN License in state of employment or valid compact license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide autonomous nursing care following ANA standards and organizational competencies
• Conduct assessments, diagnoses, planning, interventions, and evaluations for assigned patients
• Manage psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments adhering to protocols; monitor effects and side-effects
• Document all patient care activities thoroughly
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions and procedures
• Supervise and delegate tasks effectively to care team members

Position Requirements:

• Attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
• Complete necessary competency validations and annual training requirements
• Prefer experience in perioperative, OR, or perioperative settings for recent practice; perioperative RN residency is a plus

Work Schedule:

• 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for additional shifts as needed
