Private Investigator

Personnel Security Consultants, Inc. (PSC) is seeking an experienced New Mexico Licensed Private Investigator to provide investigative field services on an as-needed, contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for an investigator who enjoys professional fact-finding, interviewing, and research assignments in support of employment background investigations. Our work is professional, objective, and focused on developing accurate, well-documented investigative information. Primary Responsibilities Assignments may include: Conducting county, state, and federal court research. Developing and contacting employment, personal, and professional references for interviews. Preparing for and conducting Personal Subject Interviews (PSIs). Conducting telephone and field interviews with knowledgeable sources. Performing investigative research to verify information provided during background investigations. Preparing objective investigative summaries and documentation. Completing assignments within established timelines while maintaining strict confidentiality. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must: Hold a current New Mexico Private Investigator License in good standing. Maintain the required New Mexico Private Investigator bond . Carry professional liability insurance appropriate for investigative services. Demonstrate excellent interviewing, communication, and investigative research skills. Produce clear, objective, and professional written reports. Be proficient with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom). No travel is required. May work in-office or offsite (security measures will be validated) Successfully pass any applicable background screening required for PSC client assignments. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to investigators with experience in: Employment or personnel background investigations. Law enforcement investigations. Court record research and records retrieval. Professional interviewing and investigative report writing. Compensation This is an independent contractor opportunity.
