Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Attorney with an established book of business to join our firm. The successful candidate will manage client relationships, deliver high-quality legal services across multiple practice areas, and contribute to the firms growth by developing new business. This role balances client-facing work, case and matter management, and strategic business development within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing book of business by strengthening client relationships and identifying opportunities for expanded services.
• Provide expert legal counsel, representation, and advocacy across client matters, maintaining high standards of professional ethics and client service.
• Handle litigation and transactional matters as needed, including intake, strategy development, drafting pleadings, motions, agreements, and settlement negotiations.
• Develop tailored legal strategies in relevant practice areas and coordinate with colleagues and outside counsel when appropriate.
• Lead business development initiatives: pitch to prospective clients, attend networking events, publish articles or thought leadership, and drive referral relationships.
• Oversee matter budgeting, billing, and collection processes; ensure accurate timekeeping and profitable matter management.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff; delegate work and provide constructive feedback to support professional development.
• Maintain compliance with all bar and regulatory requirements, firm policies, and best practices for confidentiality and conflict checks.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on strategic planning, practice area development, and cross-selling opportunities.
• Use practice management tools and legal technology to streamline workflows, manage documents, and track client/matter status.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
• Proven track record managing an existing book of business with demonstrable revenue and client retention results.
• Minimum 3+ years of practice experience; senior-level candidates with substantial client portfolios preferred.
• Comfortable working across one or more of the following practice areas: Bankruptcy, Finance, Construction, Criminal Defense, Education Law, Business/Corporate Law, Family Law, Employment, Litigation, Land Use and Zoning, Personal Injury, Municipal Law, Trusts and Estates, Real Estate.
• Experience handling litigation or transactional matters and familiarity with matter lifecycle management, billing, and client intake.
• Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
