Lab Manager – Department of Physical Sciences, Daytona Beach Campus The Department of Physical Sciences at the Daytona Beach Campus seeks applicants for the position of Lab Manager. This position provides essential support to the department in the maintenance, use, and development of its teaching and research laboratory equipment. The individual is responsible for ensuring the smooth function of the department's teaching labs and assists both faculty and students in the development and implementation of new research capabilities. Responsibilities Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing laboratory equipment and electronics (oscilloscopes, power supplies, optics, detectors, vacuum systems, instrumentation, etc.) Supporting faculty and staff in developing, setting up, and adapting experiments for teaching and research Overseeing laboratory safety procedures in collaboration with faculty and the university's safety office Coordinating with vendors for service and procurement of parts and supplies Providing technical training and guidance for faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and students as needed Benefits Generous Time Off: 9+ paid holidays, including the day after Thanksgiving and the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day Tuition Coverage: 100% tuition coverage for one undergraduate and one graduate degree, with discounted rates for spouse and dependent children up to age 26 Retirement Contributions: ERAU contributes 6% of your base salary to your retirement plan and offers a 4% matching contribution with no vesting period Personal Leave: 12 days of personal leave for non‑exempt employees or 18 days for exempt full‑time employees in your first year Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering physics, physics, engineering, electronics technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience Demonstrated hands‑on skills in electronics troubleshooting, instrumentation, and laboratory hardware maintenance Strong organizational and communication skills Equal Employment Opportunity Embry‑Riddle is committed to fostering a workplace where all individuals are valued and respected.
