Staff Radiation Therapist - $5,000 Sign-On Bonus!

Position: Radiation Therapist - Full-time Location: Mojave Radiation Oncology Center, 18280 Siskiyou Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307. Our Radiation Therapy team provides patient‑centered care, and we support professional growth. The anticipated hourly pay range is $43.30 – $61.80 with a $5,000 sign‑on bonus. Responsibilities Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the physician. Verify prescribed treatment dose before each session; verify fields and angles. Ensure placement of protective devices to shield healthy tissue. Simulate patients using a simulator, CT scanner, or other devices to localize treatment areas. Display professional conduct essential to the well‑being of the patient. Maintain accurate and detailed treatment chart documentation. Observe the clinical progress of the patient, using decision‑making skills to recognize and report any signs of complications. Adhere to radiation safety procedure protocols. Perform machine safety checks; know safe limits of equipment operations, and report abnormalities. Work closely with the Radiation Oncologist and the therapy team in preparing a treatment plan. Adhere to the Radiation Therapist Code of Ethics. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality; be available on call. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ensure all processing and reporting deadlines are met consistently. Perform any additional functions required by management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience (preferred). ARRT board certification (preferred). Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy technology (preferred). Certification in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. 0–5 years of experience (preferred). Application of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks. Ability to work on projects of moderate scope and complexity. Problem‑solving skills to identify solutions and take action to resolve issues. Judgment within defined parameters. Receives general guidance; may receive more detailed instruction on new projects. Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy. Pay and Sign‑On Bonus Anticipated hourly range: $43.30 – $61.80 per hour. Bonus eligible: No. $5,000 sign‑on bonus.
