The Physical Therapist Assistant provides hands-on therapy in accordance with the Plan of Care established by the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure quality and continuity of care.

• Performs direct physical therapy services following established standards and physician certification.
• Verifies and follows the Plan of Care and integrates patient goals into therapy.
• Instructs patients and families in the safe use of adaptive and assistive devices and home programs.
• Collaborates with the Physical Therapist on changes in patient condition and updates to the Plan of Care.
• Adheres to state practice act guidelines and agency policies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid in the state of employment.
• 6+ months experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and auto insurance per state law.
• Able and willing to travel up to 50% within service area.
