Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) - Long Term Care (Cambridge)

We provide a comprehensive orientation to set you up for success. If you were working as an RPN, you would: Build genuine connections with residents, creating meaningful moments in every shift. Lead the care team by delivering a clear shift report, supervising and mentoring PSWs, and steering daily priorities. Assess, plan, and deliver care for residents with complex needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety. Administer medications safely and accurately, while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects. Manage and document pressure injuries using digital photography to track healing and improve outcomes. Practice within your full scope of nursing, performing therapies such as subcutaneous hypodermoclysis, IV therapy, and wound care treatments. Partner with physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists to adjust care plans and improve resident well‑being. Complete timely, accurate documentation using technology for up‑to‑date care plans accessible to the whole team. Support and educate families during challenging moments, offering reassurance and trust. Mentor recent colleagues and students, sharing knowledge and building a strong, supportive care culture. Participate in quality improvement huddles, using your ideas to shape how care is delivered. End each shift knowing you contributed to making a resident’s day better, beyond expert clinical care. Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months. TB 2 Step updated within the last year. Additional Information Permanent part‑time position with evening availability.
