The Ideal candidate will have experience in both traditional infrastructure design, provisioning, and deployment of compute, storage, and networking resources and emerging modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation technologies.The Senior Platform Engineer would be involved with development, implementation of traditional compute, network, storage systems and related deployments, as well as support improving the program platform’s over-arching design through new emerging technologies. This includes existing operating systems and server hardware designs, as well as supporting the design and development of new modernized system architectures through automation tools.What You Will DoYou will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IAC solutionsWrite Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in support of transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure to a modern platform infrastructureYou will assist with design, architecture, development, and support of build/test pipelines and optimizing integration for performance and scalability across physical or virtualized based computing environmentsYou will support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program needs utilizing Ansible PlaybooksCollaborate with DT, GSS Security, software and system engineers to design and implement development and mission solutionsIntegrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access managementProvide operational support for the platformQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform and/or AnsibleExperience with Linux/Windows Operating Systems and Virtualization technologiesExperience with software deployment and integrationExperience with Agile Development Methodologies, e.g., Scrum and SAFeCurrent CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90 daysActive and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
