The General Production Worker is responsible for operating injection molding machines, inspecting plastic components, and assisting with assembly processes in a manufacturing environment serving medical, automotive, and aerospace industries. This is an entry-level role focused on light-duty, repetitive tasks with strong on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement.

• Operate injection molding machines safely and in accordance with standard procedures.
• Remove molded plastic parts and inspect them for cosmetic defects and quality compliance.
• Accurately label, package, and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Assemble small components using basic tools such as electric screwdrivers.
• Perform additional processes such as sonic welding and pad printing as required.
• Rotate between machine operation and assembly tasks as needed.
• Perform repetitive work while standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Apply basic math skills to complete counts, measurements, and simple calculations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Occasionally move materials using pallet jacks or dollies.
• Lift boxes up to 40–50 lbs when necessary, following safe handling practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety standards.
• Follow instructions carefully to meet production and quality targets.

• Basic math skills (addition and subtraction).
• Strong attention to detail for identifying defects and ensuring quality.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy.
• Flexibility to work in different areas, including machine operation and assembly.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Physical ability to stand or sit for long periods and occasionally lift moderate weights.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with machinery and moderate noise.
• Willingness to learn—no prior experience required.

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly roles.
• Background in entry-level jobs such as retail or food service.
• Interest or aptitude in mechanical processes or equipment.
• Comfort working in an environment with occasional plastic odors.
• Desire to grow into advanced roles such as Material Handler or Plastic Molding Technician.

This role is based in a plastic injection molding facility equipped with 33 machines ranging from small to large presses. The environment includes moderate noise levels and may have a noticeable smell of heated plastic. Work primarily involves handling small parts, with occasional lifting of boxes. Employees typically stand at machines or sit at assembly stations while performing repetitive tasks. The facility emphasizes stability, teamwork, and long-term growth, with many employees remaining for 5–10 years or more.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coeur D Alene, ID.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
