About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10:00-22:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI Must-Have: Adaptability Team player Description: The Emergency Department has a bed capacity of 40. There are over 120 staff members on the team. Daily staffing includes CNC, team leads, RNs, advanced paramedics, EDT, MHSC, and secretaries. Patient ratios are 4:1, comprising 3 rooms and 1 hall bed during high volume. Essential equipment includes cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound machines, Belmont Rapid Infusers, IO drills, and Lifepak devices. EMR system used is Meditech. Preferred Skills: Experience working in high-pressure environments. Previous medical experience as RN, medic, technician, etc. Typical procedures performed in the unit include: IV starts and phlebotomy. Cardiac monitoring and interpretation. The ideal candidate should be outgoing and maintain a positive demeanor under pressure. Dress Code: RN scrub attire is a gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms. Medic scrub attire is a gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms. EDT and secretary scrub attire is a Caribbean blue scrub top with Caribbean blue or black scrub bottoms. Appropriate colored T-shirts may be worn under a nursing scrub jacket or in accordance with hospital-approved attire.
