CDL Delivery Driver

Position Summary The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal and State regulations, and to deliver all freight undamaged. The driver works as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world‑class customer service experience. Duties and Responsibilities Inspect truck/trailer for defects for safe operation. Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites. Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you. Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations. Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment. Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for load/unload. Provide excellent customer service skills and professional attitude. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred. Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations. Demonstrated ability to work independently, collaborate on team, lead when needed, and build relationships. Proactive, initiative, drive results. Professional communication, both verbal and written. Physical Requirements Remain stationary while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time. Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading. Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed. Judge distance when delivering materials and operating boom. Communicate with management and coworkers accurately. Work outside environment while making deliveries. Required Cognitive Skills Prioritize job sites and deadlines. Manage stress based on customer deadlines. Multitask. Receive information and directions. Communicate solutions quickly when problems occur. Demonstrate sound judgement. Salary and Benefits The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $23.51 to $29.90 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on location, education, training, and/or experience. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime, performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
