Job Overview A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate with approximately five years of experience to join their team in Kalamazoo, MI. This role offers the opportunity for meaningful involvement in case management and strategy development. Duties Drive strategy on assigned litigation matters. Draft and supervise major legal filings. Manage discovery processes effectively. Take and defend depositions. Prepare witnesses for court proceedings. Work directly with clients to address their legal needs. Requirements Approximately 5 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm. Excellent writing and judgment skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Strong deposition experience. Comfortable in client-facing roles. Licensed in Michigan or Ohio, or eligible for admission by examination or waiver. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Michigan or Ohio. Skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in legal research and writing. Benefits Opportunity for professional growth and development.
