Qualifications:

  • EC Adaptive Curriculum Licensure required
  • Special Education teaching experience, especially with moderate to severe caseloads, highly preferred
  • Familiarity with self-contained classroom environments
  • Strong communication, organization, and adaptability
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Teach and support a self-contained classroom for 3rd–5th graders with moderate/severe needs
  • Manage a caseload of 7 students, adapting lessons to individual learning styles
  • Collaborate with professionals and families to create supportive learning plans
  • Maintain records, implement IEPs, and ensure best practices in special education
  • Foster a nurturing and structure-rich environment that celebrates student growth
