Position: Quick Lane Technician Perform multi-point inspections Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil Replace oil and air filters Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards and codes of conduct Follow dealership safety procedures Requirements Valid drivers license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 40-50lbs and stand for extended periods NYS Inspectors license preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active shop environment Basic understanding of automotive systems Ability to perform routine maintenance such as: Oil and filter changes Tire rotations Multi-point inspections Fluid checks and fills Experience using shop tools and equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to shop safety Ability to follow checklists and dealership procedures Good communication with advisors and technicians Reliability- consistent attendance and time management Customer focused mindset Basic automotive coursework from trade school preferred Prior lube/automotive experience is a plus but not required Dealership or quick-service background is an advantage Summary Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays 401k with Employer Match 3 Health insurance plans to choose from Vision Life Insurance Disability Insurance Employee Social Events Basil Ford of Walden is part of the Basil Family Dealership Group, known for stability, growth, and promoting from within.
