CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistWe are seeking a skilled and detail oriented CNC Machinist to join our team in Conroe, Texas. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and editing programs on CNC mills and lathes to manufacture a variety of precision components for industrial and commercial applications. The ideal candidate has experience in both production and custom machining environments, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes using Fanuc controlsPerform routine program edits using G codeMachine a variety of components according to engineering drawings and specificationsSupport both production runs and custom machining projects as neededMonitor machine operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and qualityTroubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues as they ariseRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirementsAdjust tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize machine performanceComplete setup sheets and maintain accurate production documentationRun multiple machines while maintaining quality and production standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow production schedules and support shop workflow requirementsAdhere to all company quality and safety standardsAssist with continuous improvement efforts and process optimizationPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:3 to 5 years of CNC machining experienceExperience operating both CNC mills and CNC lathes requiredExperience with horizontal and vertical mills, including 4 axis machining preferredFamiliarity with Fanuc controls and G code programmingExperience making program edits and machine adjustments at the controlExperience in production machining and job shop environments preferredStrong understanding of machining practices, tooling, SFM, and IPTWorking knowledge of GD&TAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsBasic computer skillsStrong attention to detail and problem solving abilitiesMust have personal measuring tools and basic hand toolsEmployee Benefits:Competitive payHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for training and career advancementEmployee assistance programTeam oriented work environmentAdditional Requirements:Availability to participate in an on call rotation, including after hours, weekends, and holidays as neededCore Values:SafetyPeopleIntegrityQualityDedicationAWC Indeed is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
