Pastor

The Pastor Search Team of Memorial Baptist Church (a Southern Baptist congregation), located in Maysville North Carolina, is prayerfully seeking a pastor who is committed to the inerrancy and authority of the Bible. He will agree with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and will lead our church on the strong foundations of biblical authority. We desire a man who is being transformed by God’s Word himself, as he leads our congregation to be transformed by God’s Word as well. He will deliver faithful, Christ-centered, biblical sermons. He will move our congregation from passive attendance into active discipleship. He will be committed to compassionate pastoral care and build relationships with the flock. He will encourage outreach and evangelistic efforts. We seek a pastor who is spiritually mature, humble and servant-hearted, biblically faithful and doctrinally sound, relational, compassionate and approachable and committed to evangelism, discipleship and missions. Candidates should submit: resume, cover letter describing calling, theology and ministry philosophy, links to 2-3 recent sermons, three ministry or professional references, three personal or character references and his written testimony of salvation.
