HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour Job description WR Diesel is a growing and reputable company specializing in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks and diesel equipment. We are committed to safety, quality workmanship, and providing exceptional service to our clients. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks and heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, suspensions, and other components Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot faults Complete work orders accurately and maintain service records Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards Respond to road calls or emergency breakdowns Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications 1-3 years experience as a heavy duty diesel mechanic (3+ years preferred) Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and electrical systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs Comfortable working in a shop environment Ability to stand, kneel, and work in confined spaces Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision benefits Retirement plan options Paid sick, vacation and holidays Ongoing training and career development opportunities Experience with diagnostic software and scan tools Valid driver’s license (CDL required) Relevant certifications (Journeyman/Red Seal/ASE certification considered an asset) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Type Full-time Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location In person #J-18808-Ljbffr WR Diesel LLC
