Customer Service Clerk

Position Overview The Customer Service Representative attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services. Process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. As a customer service you also have to handle all the tasks of a cashier. Evening Shift Key Responsibilities & Core Duties Service Desk Operations: Answer customer questions, resolve product/service complaints, process returns/exchanges, and handle lottery sales/winnings. Register Duties: Scan groceries, collect payments (cash, credit, EBT, checks), count cash drawers, and issue receipts. Cashier Coaching: Help train new cashiers and assist with register line management during peak hours. Lost & Found: Maintain the store Lost & Found logbook for high-value and standard items per SOP. Qualifications & Position Requirements Illinois BASSET Certification required. High level of accuracy, basic math skills, and dependable attendance. Ability to stand throughout the shift and lift heavy grocery items. Friendly, approachable demeanor and excellent customer service orientation. Empathy, patience, positive communication, and conflict resolution skills.
