Make a Difference: Become Our Supervisory Psychiatrist (SUD)!

We invite you to join the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System as a Supervising Addiction Psychiatrist, where you will lead a skilled, interdisciplinary team committed to enhancing evidence-based care for Veterans dealing with substance use disorders. This full-time position provides a unique chance to influence clinical practices, mentor psychiatry professionals, support esteemed residency and fellowship programs, and collaborate with distinguished academic institutions such as UCLA. As an integral member of our multidisciplinary outpatient Substance Use Disorder Clinic, you will conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and deliver evidence-based treatments to Veterans facing a variety of mental health and substance use issues, including complex co-occurring disorders.

Your expertise will encompass diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, and medication management, including medication-assisted treatment. You will work closely with a diverse team of psychologists, social workers, addiction therapists, and nursing staff. Your responsibilities will also include involvement in specialized initiatives such as opioid treatment and intensive outpatient programs, multidisciplinary consultations, and ongoing contributions to coordinated, recovery-oriented care, all while ensuring meticulous and compliant clinical documentation. Work Schedule: Full-time / On-site

Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
• Current, full, and unrestricted medical license
• Completion of residency in an accredited core specialty
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Preferred minimum of 5 years of practice experience, though not mandatory.

Benefits and Features:

• Salary Range: $285,000-$335,000
• PTO: 50-55 days of paid time off annually (including 26/13 days of annual/sick leave and 11 holidays)
