This leadership opportunity is ideal for a dynamic individual with a passion for advancing clinical excellence, physician engagement, research initiatives, and medical education within an integrated healthcare environment.The Division Chief will collaborate closely with institutional and academic leadership to strengthen oncology services, support innovation, and help shape the future of academic medicine across the region.Position Responsibilities• Provide strategic and visionary leadership for clinical, educational, and research initiatives within the Cancer Institute• Advance institutional goals related to quality, operational performance, physician engagement, and patient experience• Lead physician workforce development efforts including recruitment, retention, mentorship, and oversight of physician leaders and section chiefs• Collaborate with academic leadership to support scholarly activity and educational programming for medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced learners• Foster a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and multidisciplinary teamwork• Serve as a physician champion for clinical integration and continuity of care across the healthcare system• Partner with operational leadership on budgeting, fiscal planning, practice efficiency, and strategic growth initiatives• Support provider productivity initiatives through data-driven performance evaluation and operational oversight• Build strong relationships with referring physicians and community stakeholders throughout the region• Oversee practice call structures and ensure consistent clinical coverage and responsiveness• Promote quality improvement initiatives and adherence to evidence-based clinical standardsQualifications • MD or DO required• Board Certification in specialty area required• Active medical license required• Minimum 3–5 years of physician leadership experience preferredPreferred Experience & Skills• Experience overseeing clinicians, researchers, and educators within an academic or integrated health system setting• Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and relationship-building skills• Demonstrated organizational, operational, and financial management capabilities• Commitment to mentorship, provider development, and resident education• Proven ability to lead teams effectively within a matrixed organizational structure• Skilled in change management, strategic planning, and physician engagement initiativesAcademic & Clinical EnvironmentThis position offers the unique opportunity to practice within a highly collaborative environment that integrates academic medicine, clinical research, and advanced patient care.
