CDL-A Driver

Express Employment Client — Brookland, AR

Pay: $20.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Weekends: NONE

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL-A Driver to transport recyclable materials between customers, recycling facilities, and other designated locations. This is a local, home-daily position with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and no weekend work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial MANUAL transmission vehicle and trailer in compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
• Transport recyclable materials between customer locations, the MARCK recycling facility, processing facilities, and designated disposal or landfill locations.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer and complete required Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
• Safely load, transport, and unload recyclable materials while protecting the vehicle, trailer, equipment, and customer property.
• Secure loads properly and verify that materials are safely contained before leaving each location.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining efficient use of time, fuel, and equipment.
• Safely maneuver, back, and position trailers at customer locations, loading docks, recycling facilities, and other job sites.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, supervisors, and facility personnel.
• Report vehicle defects, maintenance concerns, accidents, safety hazards, delays, or service issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records, including mileage, delivery/pickup documentation, inspection reports, and other required paperwork.
• Monitor weather, traffic, road conditions, and changing site conditions to ensure safe transportation.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer.
• Assist with basic loading/unloading or material-handling duties when necessary.
• Follow all company procedures regarding recycling materials, contamination, environmental requirements, and safe material handling.
• Attend required safety meetings, training sessions, and driver briefings.
• Represent MARCK Recycling professionally while interacting with customers and the public.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL - Able to drive MANUAL transmission
• Clean and safe driving record required (nothing in previous 3 years)
• Previous commercial driving experience required.
• Experience operating a semi-truck and trailer preferred.
• Ability to safely back and maneuver a trailer in industrial and customer locations.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently while following established routes and schedules.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather and job-site conditions.
• Ability to perform occasional physical duties associated with loading, unloading, securing materials, and inspecting equipment.
