Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department setting. The RN communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide patient care based on systematic assessment and individual needs.
- Collaborate with other health professionals to plan, provide, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to established requirements.
- Utilize Cerner for documentation and charting tasks.
Requirements:
- Current RN license to practice in the state of California
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
