Working alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, this individual will help coordinate schedules, manage project documentation, communicate with project stakeholders, and assist with day-to-day construction operations.This position is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional looking to gain hands-on experience on large, complex civil construction projects.Key responsibilities include:Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and coordinating active construction projectsAssist with procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted servicesCoordinate subcontractor activities to help maintain project schedulesConduct regular visits to active job sites to monitor progress and provide project supportPrepare and maintain project documentation, including production reports, quantity tracking, meeting minutes, and field reportsAssist with quantity takeoffs, pricing requests, and estimating activitiesReview supplier and subcontractor proposals for completeness and competitivenessCommunicate effectively with field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and design teamsHelp ensure projects remain organized, efficient, and compliant with company standardsRequirements include:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferredEquivalent construction industry experience (minimum two years) will also be consideredStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasksExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and OutlookDesire to build a long-term career within heavy civil constructionBenefits include:Competitive salary based on experienceAnnual performance incentive programMedical, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage401(k) retirement plan with company match and profit sharingStudent loan repayment assistancePaid vacation, sick leave, and company holidaysLong-term career advancement with one of the Midwest's leading heavy civil contractors
