This classification is a safety-sensitive position as defined by the United States Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing regulations. As a safety-sensitive classification, you will be subjected to random testing. Possession of a medical marijuana certification will not excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana.

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, the Daytime Security Guard ensures the safety

and well-being of guests and employees at Hawaiian Waters - The Colony during operating hours. This is

accomplished by conducting bag and cooler checks, monitoring the parking lot, entrances, and exits, and

performing regular patrols of the property.

Essential Functions

The information listed below is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by

individuals assigned to this position. It is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, or skills

required.

• Ensure the safety of guests and employees by inspecting bags and coolers for prohibited items prior to entry.
• Monitor the parking lot to assist with traffic flow and address any safety concerns as needed.
• Ensure that the park's entrances and exits are appropriately secured during operational hours and at the end of the day.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by patrolling the property, engaging guests to provide information, resolve concerns, address inquiries, educate visitors on facility rules, and addressing inappropriate behavior as needed.
• Assist in locating lost parties and reuniting them with their group, working collaboratively with other departments as required.
• Provide support during special events to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper retention of all departmental records.
• Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 25 lbs., or more, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods of time in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to handle and maintain confidential information in a professional manner.

Pay Range: $15 per hour
