Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart technologist position available in Austin, Texas. This role involves supporting cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures. Candidates must have extensive experience and be able to operate independently in a fast-paced surgical environment, with a schedule consisting of 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday.

Job Details

• Location: Austin, TX
• Shift Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, Monday-Thursday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR technologist in a high-volume hospital setting, with demonstrated proficiency in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. Current CST certification is required. References from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed are necessary. Ability to function independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced surgical environment is essential.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with complex cardiac/thoracic/vascular procedures and the ability to participate in call coverage outside normal hours are preferred.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to float to other specialty service lines as needed during downtime. The CVOR service line includes multiple ORs and performs a variety of complex procedures, including TAVR, ECMO, ventricular assist device placements, and minimally invasive surgeries.
