About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for its information technology and institutional research functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an IT strategy that aligns with the company's mission and strategic plan, ensuring the effective and efficient use of technology resources to support academic and administrative areas. This role involves fostering innovation, collaboration, and a strong customer service focus within the IT department, as well as maintaining high standards for technical operations, reliability, and security. The CIO will also be tasked with budgeting, policy development, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Applicants for the CIO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 5 years of leadership experience in IT strategy and operations. A background in higher education is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT and institutional research, experience with enterprise systems, cybersecurity best practices, and data privacy regulations. They should possess excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, and be adept at problem-solving and fostering a culture of collaboration and professional development within the IT department. The CIO will also be expected to lead a team of IT professionals and work closely with faculty, staff, and students to understand and meet their technology needs.
