Job Title

Physical Therapist – Pediatric Inpatient / Outpatient

Contract (13 or 26 weeks, traveler's choice) | Days | 4x10 or 5x8 schedule (traveler's choice) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment services to pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in approximately 1–2 weekend shifts per month as part of the standard rotation
• Be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams within a high-acuity hospital environment to deliver patient-centered care

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska Physical Therapist (PT) License required (pending license accepted; must have license in hand prior to auto offer — licensure typically takes 10–12 weeks)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience; first-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Pediatric PT experience required per unit direction
• Experience with Epic charting required
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required during the compliance process
• Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted by this facility
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of candidacy; time off is approved on an individual basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma hospital environment
• Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced acute care setting
• Familiarity with pediatric inpatient and outpatient therapy protocols
