Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT

Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT is responsible for the accurate, timely, and reliable evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff. This role prioritizes activities that directly enhance customer service for employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures regarding incident reporting.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Exhibit adequate radiation safety practices for both patients and co-workers.
• Participate in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as required.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiologist staff to ensure efficient delivery of CT procedures.
• Abide by the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with patients, visitors, employees, and other customers.
• Adhere to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.

Education

• Required Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Preferred Education: N/A

Required Certifications & Licensure

• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered
• ARRT (R)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)

Preferred Certifications & Licensure

• ARRT CT Registration

Schedule Notes

Anticipated start date is 10/26. This position involves night shifts totaling 36 hours per week: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
