Travel Physical Therapist

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment providing inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.

Full-time day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

13-week assignment length

Phys Med Therapy Physical department

Provides evaluation and treatment services for both inpatient and outpatient patients

Utilizes standard PT modalities and equipment as outlined by governing therapy examiners board

Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program required

Current Physical Therapist licensure required if applicable

BLS certification via AHA required

No minimum years of experience required

Must be able to complete pre-employment and annual health screening examinations

Conducts comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of physical and cognitive abilities for patients of varying ages and diagnoses

Develops and implements individualized treatment plans with measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families

Maintains documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per policy

Participates in patient care conferences, family conferences, and departmental meetings

Provides discharge planning and patient/family education

May assist with supervision and coordination of PT and PTA student programs and volunteers

Assists with department operations, new associate orientation, and scheduling as needed

Participates in performance improvement activities and maintains productivity standards

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate

Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment
