Junior Java Developer

Salary: $58,000 - 58,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; a Masters in Computer Science is preferred.
• Strong foundation in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SQL, and development tools such as Git.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn and contribute to the team.
• Exposure to or interest in distributed systems, real-time processing, or fraud detection is a plus.
• Exposure to Spring Boot, message queues such as Kafka, or cloud services such as AWS is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic data analytics or rules engines for risk assessment is a plus.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, build, and maintain Java services that detect and reduce risk in payment processing.
• Work on real-time systems that identify potentially fraudulent activity and enforce risk policies.
• Help improve the scalability, reliability, and observability of risk-related microservices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to discussions about architecture and design.
• Assist with writing and maintaining automated tests to support system reliability.
• Continue learning and developing within a fast-paced engineering environment.
