Overview

Night Shift Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for the night shift at a large company located in Eclectic. This role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment and machinery during overnight hours. The position aims to reduce daytime production downtime in environments such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, or large commercial facilities by working independently or with a small team to perform preventive maintenance and urgent repairs.

Shift Details:

- Hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

- Experience: 2-5 years preferred

- Compensation: Dependent on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot Equipment: Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues on production lines and facility systems.

- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance, lubrication, parts replacement, and inspections during off-peak hours.

- Safety Compliance: Adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

- System Documentation: Record work performed, report unresolved issues, and provide shift handover updates to the daytime team or management.

- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to ensure readiness for the next operational shift.

Skills and Experience

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification strongly preferred.

- Technical Knowledge: Experience with high/low voltage electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift heavy materials (often 50 lbs or more) for extended periods.

- Independence: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
