ICC Special Inspector

We are seeking a dedicated ICC Special Inspector to join our Professional Services Industries (PSI) team in Morgan Hill, California. Role Overview The ICC Special Inspector is responsible for performing a variety of field testing, project-specific observations, and inspection duties under general supervision. Salary & Benefits Base Salary: $30 - $50/hr (Commensurate with skill set, experience, and certifications). Key Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and calibrate testing equipment. Conduct soil and concrete testing and provide data assessments through detailed reporting. Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications. Observe site activities using specific methodologies to ensure compliance. Document and interpret test results, maintaining meticulous project records. Communicate effectively with clients and project teams, including attending project meetings. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 2+ years of related inspection experience. Certification: Valid ICC Reinforced Concrete certification. Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a reliable driving record. Flexibility: Ability to work off-shifts and overtime as needed. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Physical Demands: Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs (and occasionally more with assistance); ability to kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods. Environment: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at various heights. Preferred Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent.
