Join Daikin AppliedJoin the world's largest HVAC company, named by Forbes as one of America's Best-In-State Employers 2025!Starting Wage: $26.69Shift: 2nd shift, Monday – Friday, 1:50 pm – 9:50 pmLocation: Staunton, VAWhat's in it for you:Paid Time Off and Holiday PayMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance Plans401k match from DaikinTuition ReimbursementReferral Bonus ProgramGrowth OpportunitiesClimate Controlled FacilityYour Responsibilities:Pick or place material on/off racks, stage material for shipment verification, and ensure accuracy of part numbers and quantitiesReceive materials and verify shipments against bills of lading or other records, check for shortages, damages, etc.Operate manually controlled rider type propane, gasoline, or electric powered trucks as well as straddle cranes to transport materials in the warehouse, yard, or plantEnsure accuracy in reading the rales orders, picklists, work orders, and other documents and prepare orders for shipmentAssemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers to sustain materials in shipmentLoad material on trailers and unload material from trailersMaintain daily inspection and check list of powered industrial trucks and other equipment as required, report any safety problems to supervisorSearch for missing lots or perform a regular running inventory (cycle count) as directed by management due to part shortages or inventory discrepancies and notify supervisor of any discrepanciesMaintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipmentFollow all safety rules and instructionsWork with minimal supervision and check all workPerform other duties as neededYour Qualifications:The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPEThe ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, work orders, pick lists, sales order, etc.The ability to keep accurate records and reportsThe ability to use and operate a scale, industrial trucks, portable ladders, hand carts, staple gun, basic hand and power tools, banding equipment, and packaging toolsThe ability to operate overhead (bridge) cranes, jib cranes, and straddle cranesThe ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishHigh School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environmentYour Benefits:Multiple Medical insurance plan options + Dental and Vision insuranceEmployer contributed 401k up to 100% on the first 3% and 50% on the 4th and 5th percentCompany provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverageShort term disability and optional employee paid voluntary long-term disability40 hours paid time off for employees, first year prorated based on start date88 hours company paid holidaysTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous serviceWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law.
