Position Summary ALLDATA® is an AutoZone® company and is the leading provider of automotive repair information and solutions to the professional automotive service industry. Thousands of professional repair and collision shops across North America rely on ALLDATA’s software products for service & repair information, shop management and customer relations solutions. ALLDATA is looking to hire an energetic, driven and motivated Regional Sales Manager (RSM) with a proven track record of success and a strong work ethic. The RSM will lead and manage an assigned ALLDATA sales region and earn a base salary with commission. Software sales experience or automotive experience is a plus, but not required. The RSM is responsible for planning, leading, designing, implementing and executing all necessary activities to meet or exceed sales target quotas. Responsibilities include leading, managing and coaching each Business Solutions Manager (BSM) through the ALLDATA software solution sales process and collaborating with customers, cross‑functional teams and other disciplines. Key duties include providing leadership, oversight, coaching and development of BSMs, managing sales forecasts, territory plans, and performance metrics; creating policies, procedures and supporting documentation; and ensuring compliance with approved systems and tools. Position Responsibilities Understand, document and execute proven standards for the strategic and tactical leadership of the assigned ALLDATA Sales Region and Territories, including adherence to sales forecasting, pipeline management, route planning and solution sales methodologies. Serve as a clear communication interface with direct reports, executive management, sales teams, Customer Service, Software Development, Information Systems, Quality Systems, Legal, Order Processing, Product Management, and customers. Adhere to ALLDATA Performance Management Cycles and Guidelines, including coaching, counseling, corrective actions, and managing sales territory plans, quotas, and compliance metrics. Conduct two All‑Hands Team Meeting conference calls per month and bi‑weekly one‑on‑one coaching sessions for each assigned BSM. Assist in creating and reviewing sales route plans, forecasts, and pipelines. Conduct ride‑a‑lons each period with BSMs and perform on‑site shop visits at least 75% of the time to ensure quality reviews and scope completion. Manage Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) activity requirements, including IDPs, KPI tracking and policy writing. Provide leadership, coaching and ongoing development on product knowledge, solution selling, forecasting, pipeline management, and MSD workflow processes. Ensure the Business Solutions Manager Profile Plan is followed, including activity objectives and cross‑functional workforce requirements. Track progress of BSM reported issues, business-related matters, and product or data errors. Implement coaching to meet business requirements and best practices, achieving 100% MSD implementation. Train and certify all BSMs on all product aspects. Keep staff informed of new communications regarding ALLDATA products and systems. Maintain daily contact with BSMs and cross‑functional teams including Order Processing, Legal, Product Management, IS, CSI, Customer Service, Product Development, and technical support. Obtain information, ideas, and agreement on proposed strategies, programs, and policies through direct leadership and influence. Provide clear written and oral communication and status reporting. This role includes direct reports. Position Requirements BS degree and/or 6 years of Sales/Business Management experience. Minimum of 4 years of business management experience. Experience managing in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment. Strong execution and follow‑through with a focus on schedules, budgets, and commitments. Adherence to ALLDATA Cultural Beliefs. Ability to inspire, motivate and focus a sales team to exceed quotas. Effective collaboration with internal teams. Process control discipline in all phases of daily work assignments. Strong independence, creativity and originality of thought. Capability to manage multiple complex issues, BSMs, new products and assignments simultaneously. High degree of analytical and financial skills. Change‑management skills and continuous improvement behaviors. Ability to handle high to very high stress levels. Approximately 75% travel required. The Total Targeted Compensation (TTC) is $150,000 at 100% quota attainment annually, which includes a $90,000 base salary with commission for exceptional earning potential, providing high performers the ability to earn well beyond that. This role includes an auto and phone allowance, fuel card, and company credit card to support all travel‑related expenses.
