Patent Attorney – Electrical & Computer Technologies Location: LA A highly touted and established law firm seeks a Patent Attorney Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its expanding patent group. The firm partners with leading global technology companies to position and protect innovation in fields ranging from hardware to software matters, including generative artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, wireless/5G, consumer electronics, data storage, and autonomous vehicles. Key Responsibilities Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications Draft responses to Office Actions and conduct Examiner interviews Perform prior art, freedom-to-operate, and patentability analyses Collaborate with inventors, in-house counsel, and technical teams Participate in strategic portfolio development and post-grant counseling Technology Areas Wireless telecommunications systems and communication networks Electrical hardware and computer software Generative AI and Machine Learning Networks, data storage and databases Semiconductors, circuits, memory, and storage devices Cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data security Consumer electronics Compensation Expected salary range: $235,000 – $305,000, depending on responsibilities, experience, education, and skills Generous merit-based bonus program Requirements J.D. and admission to practice before the USPTO 3-6 years of recent patent preparation and prosecution experience Strong academic record with a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a closely related field Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented culture Benefits Comprehensive benefits starting on the date of hire, including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, STD, and LTD insurance Generous parental leave Child and elder care 401(k) with firm contributions Profit sharing #J-18808-Ljbffr MNF Global
